I gave up on Audacity. Apparently its a lot harder to get a successful bend with it on a Mac. What these are is a .jpeg converted to a .bmp, then open the .bmp in TextEdit/WordPad, change random strings (ie search "FG" and replace all with #∆), save the .bmp, and then convert it back to a .jpeg.

im using auducity on a mac(10.4.11 if that means anything) and I have a really low success rate. Most of them won't open because it says the file is corrupt, or i just get a black box instead of my image.

Cory's right, you need to exclude the first ~5 seconds of the sonarized image when adding effects. That's the header. If you edit the header, you break the file.

Finally got my polar bear glitch to work.

Just google "databending" and plenty of tutorials come up. I figured out how to get it this awesome using BMP text editing. I don't wanna post up a tutorial and then have every scooter kid doing this.
