Databending and Glitch Art

Dude. The first polar bear and the mountain scene are so sick.

The mountain one is definitely by far my favorite. I wanna download a whole bunch of landscape pics like that and see what I can come up with.

...I was gonna say weed but upon closer inspection it seems you are right.

Jason, are these .bmp or .raw edits?

These are .BMP, I'm using IrfanView to edit and save the file, then using Wordpad to bend them.

Here's the result I got from changing "ul" to "ER", after editing the photo a few ways in Irfan.

Areas with high, dark contrast will be warped sideways more. Atleast that's my understanding from this image where I negatived the colours, resulting in a black sky. Have fun with this haha.
