I got myself banned.
I dont really know what all the fuss is about when it comes to expensive and well known parts.
Throughout the whole time i've riden a scooter the best part i've ever has is some china bone bearings.
But yet, i can make my scooter solid, strong and fast without paying hundreds of dollars for shitty custom made parts.
You may benefit from just using stock parts and trying to make a decent scooter for cheap.

How long have you been scooting??? Have you started beaking parts??? Cause if you have you will notice you have a really weak fork and really wobbly bars. You can make you scooter ok by using some mods and stuff but not colse to how good it will be if you have a proper bars, forks, wheels and some deck reinforcement.
You can make a scooter kinda solid with seatpostbars, hot-glue your wheels bolt your foldy, bolt your bars and reinforce your fork.
The thing about expensive parts is that they are good like all other things the more you pay the better product you get.
The people who are are willing to pay for good parts don't have to change em all the time. It will pay of in the long run ;)

Both of these are mine. Guess which one I prefer.

Lol, i like how you're saying they dehub quicker but you're not going to shell out (as if you'd know that they do). End of the day i've paid £40 for the wheels i have now and i won't have to again for quite a few months, if i was on stock pros i'd be rebuying once a month. Stock sucks, and don't put down the people that make aftermarket parts because they do a brilliant job.

how do you know that its better stock if you never bought expensive bars and stuff , i have rode about a year and broke forkks and stuff and i bought metal cores i now have one peice bars and it does make a difference , try it :)

wow dude. stock wheels are shit. i break them in like a few days when there hot glued. my fork (stock) bent in the most impossible way and my stock bars broke. stock sucks. you arent good enough to break things yet. just wait youll have inward forks and rads soon enough. and its supports our sport. without aftermarket part we wouldnt be going anywere. why do you think bmxers dont ride mongoses? cause they suck. get it? stupid thread. lock

Until you've ridden a truly dialled scooter, you don't understand what the fuss is about.
I used to believe in the stock theory, making a scooter solid out of stock parts.
But now, hell no.
One piece bars solve many problems (Unwanted height adjustment, Clamps that are capable of ripping your knee into about 1000 pieces, more strength/durabilty [Find me pictures of broken one piece bars, then pictures of stock bars, tell me the ratio between the 2])

Aftermarket wheels are god sends, Speed, strength, no need for glueing, less replacing.

There is a myriad of products that enhance the level of strength and durability..
For the input, the output is worth it.

my scooter is more aftermarket than stock now and i have to say i don't prefer it any more than my spare all-stock scooter. for me, the bars add unnecessary weight when stock bars usually last forever for me.

if you know what your doing you can make a really solid stock scooter, and have it last for awhile before something breaks on it. if you have a ton of spare parts like me then you don't really worry about stuff breaking.

bottom line, a stock scoot can be perfectly good to ride, and you shouldn't be buying aftermarket parts just because the scooter community tells you you have to.

...if you ride driveways

I'm not hating, but you're obviously not gonna break a lot of parts if you ride small kickers and flat in a garage/driveway.
