and one tip for you guys buying aftermarket parts. Whatever you do, stay away from skaterHQ, thsoe bars are the dodgiest things i have ever seen. I can shit out better bars than that company can make.

well i dont have much luck with wheels a pro wheel will last me a few months but then somethimes it will last a day. i had 2 metal cores which lasted ages but then i brought 2 new ones ran one on the front for 2 months put it on the back 10 minutes later in was broken. so i understand what you saying fletcher to some extent but only about the wheels

I've seen kids that can only tailwhip, air the spine and briflip, break them within months.

Aftermarket parts are pretty much necessary to make a scooter completely solid. Sure it's possible to have a stock scooter that's pretty damn solid but bolting the foldy/bars and dialing in the headset, but it's still nothing compared to a scooter with one piece bars, threadless forks and an SCS. If my deck didn't flex because the foldy is all cracked, my scooter would have absolutely not flex in it.

I think theirs obviously some line you have to draw between COMPLETELY stock scooters, and semi-modded.

I ride one piece bars, inward fork, dual metal cores, bolted foldy, pro deck, half of an aftermarket headset, lol, ODI grips, aftermarket bearings. yada yada.
But I can honestly say I've ridden scooters that are 90% stock, and easily sturdier and stronger feeling than mine.
Having a completely stock pro model with no mods to it is definately not a good feeling.
But bolting the foldy, replacing the wheels, and replacing the handlebars with some sort of cross bar and drilling it in is incredibly solid.
