finally, locktite is a must have for any compression system if you want it to stay tight for awhile.

NO. Do NOT use loctite on a compression bolt. Ever. That's how you break a starnut. Once you tighten your clamp and everything there should be no reason your compression would come loose.
 
2 starnuts help

if you do this, be sure the starnuts are hammered in at the same time with the screw secured around both of them. if you don't, then they may be out of alignment and that could lead to some nasty cross threading.

as for loctite, generally if your bars are coming loose you have a problem somewhere else

It stops the SCS from clamping on to your bars properly, making them slide out of line and possibly fall off.

does anyone know how long a ICS bolt is? In either inches or MM. I would say a fel inches longer than a fork tube but I want to be sure.

Hey, soon i'm getting my first scs and i'm just wondering how do you tighten the bolts?
A little bit on each one then repeat till fully tightened?
Or tighten one fully then the next etc?
