Still Alive is awesome once you get used to those guest vocals. The way he says "end" at the one part used to bother me haha.
This is just a random thought I had because I saw you mentioned FTFD too. Did you know theyre old drummer is in TGI now?
And have you ever heard their old singers band Legend? Theyre fucking sick.
Whhattt I didn't know their drummer was in TGI!? Doooppeee and yeah man i've been listening to Legend since Valediction came out, own both of their albums and funny thing is I don't really wear like band shirts or things like that anymore but i'm wearing a Legend shirt right now the dope ass eagle crest one

I seen I see stars for all those sleeping ice nine kills upon this dawning the color morale last night that show was crazy the pits we insane it was so sick

I used to swear by the hardcore scene, but you just grow out of it.

I listen to bands that make more mature/real music like Ceremony, Title Fight, Touche Amore, Bane, and Defeater and other bands like that.

But the whole breakdown hardcore scene is just a joke. Everybody is super lame and the shows are wack.

im with tyler, ive been to more shows than i can remember when i was in high school but i got tired of the drama and the excessive aggression/macho mentality most dudes have in the scene.

i saw Timur mentioned It Prevails and i still got a soft spot for them and a few others.

I completely agree with both of you. The scene is stupid, its over run by middle schoolers and tough guys. I go to shows but dont get involved with anyone or anything going on haha. You definitely have more respect for it when you play an instrument though (Im not saying you guys dont). And "hardcore" is such a loosely based, wide genre now anyway.

Yeh in there is a huge scene in melbourne for shit metalcore and straight edge bands, it really sucks. melbourne has a really good powerviolence/grindcore/punk scene though, some really cool shows.

I like you.

It is true that a lot of the -core scene is run by middle schoolers but I still try to have fun at the shoes. A lot of times I feel bad when I elbow a 13 year old in the face but then I just remember that they want to be there doing the same shit I am so I just forget about it.

Thats kinda like Jersey/Philly. Theres a real big brocore scene, but then theres a real sick underground punk/thrash/grindcore scene.

The venue i go to alot is the croc rock in allentown some of you may know where it is if you live in phillly but all the shows i been to surprisingly isnt filled with alot of middle schoolers its more of 18-25 year olds there and some kids my age i even see old couples at shows sometimes no lie like people that are in there 60's thats metal

Great news! Orchid's legendary.

Also, here's a video I took at recent Suis La Lune concert - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9fvjIWNY6k
They are a lot softer than most of screamo bands and I like them that way.
