and yes, do some research before ya say dont turbo a sohc lol, theres some that push 400+hp and i have proof

you can do it sure its just not the best for the head you might end up fucking it over they do work but turboed d16's typically dont last that long. its all up to you but id get a dohc head before you do that it would be a good purchase and dude im a mechanic so ya

well considering your a mechanic, look more into sohc motors,ive been around engines my whole life, i know alooooot about honda engines. sohc engines and espically the top ends can handle turbo. there are people that run a good 16psi on them and they last a long ass time, ofcourse theyre going to sound weak if your use to 6 or 8 cylinder engines.

I know NOTHING about import cars, so Ill ask you guys. I no longer can afford what I was driving and need something in the future thats cheap but still has some pep to it, my friend was telling me to look at a 300zx? Any word on how these are, and there reliability past 100k miles?

lol turbos gona run ya quite a bit, biggest thing not to cheap out on parts on, make sure the intercooler is big enough haha, people usually go to small and run the engine to hot.

as for Kenny, theyre small, 3.0 litre, V6 (Z31) or twin (Z32) turbocharged engine. VG series engines. prolly not the best gas mileage considering the z31 is 150-160hp and the z32 is about 220hp. ANY CAR WILL LAST OVER 100K miles EASILY, if not you fucked up somewere. biggest thing is that people dont change all there fluids when theyre suppose to like oil and tranny fluid, making sure there is enough coolant in your radiator, i know this isnt fluids but making sure your air filter is clean. Dirty and old fluids is what fucks people over, and also dont put shit like "octane booster" or that shit in your car, if you want some stuff that makes a difference in your car is AMS OIL, my parents are actually dealers and shit but the oil AMS OIL makes i change once a year, the filter is guaranteed up to 15k miles and my oil is too. dont believe me look it up.

my car is at about 190k miles i believe right now and runs strong, ill check the exact amount when im not so lazy

the one thing about 300zx's that are pretty expensive are the fuel injectors. they go bad fairly often in those cars. there nice cars and everything but they dont last that long if you dont want to throw a shit ton of money at it every once in a while

i know its gonna run me alot thats why i said maybe but nobody makes one for my car so im going to have to fabricate every thing. sounds like fun? fuck that i dont want a turbo thats gonna be a pain in the ass
