Lloyd is like 5 years older than Kota. Anyway, This thread was useful, now I'm never buying from them. I mean one order to mess up is understandable, all companies do it, but it seems every post in here is how people haven't gotten their stuff!

k guys stop hating on kota, ive talked on the phone a few times with him and hes a nice guy. fed ex never sent my deck so he sent me a new one with 2 day shipping free of charge just so it got to me on time before my comp.

yeah, my friend called him too and he sounded kinda immature for running a business. and stilll the same crap with them not having their product instock

alright you either didnt read the damn thread or your just incompetent of understanding that THEY SELL THINGS THAT THEY DONT HAVE IN STOCK AND DONT FUCKING RESPOND TO YOUR EMAILS... Yes the industry is growing and needs more than 2 stores, but when a company cannot get their shit straight, they need to step down and let another one in their place

I ordered via internet on December 15th. They swept my paypal for $177 and an automatic email said we got your order. In my order I stated "I HAVE TO HAVE THIS BY XMAS - it's for my grandson" - I called two days later - no answer and a phone message that essentially said, 'We're too busy to answer your calls" - sent numerous emails no answer. Finally tracted down a cell number and texted who I believe to be "ratjuice" and he said "All orders will go out before xmas" so I waited. Xmas came, my grandson looked at my like the lier that I am, and the following week nobody answered the phone either - no response to emails, no shipping date, nothing.

Finally I reached someone on January 7th. She said they had just received the part the night before and would ship tomorrow.

I filed a claim and Paypal and they shipped it immediately after.

Their response to every complaint is "we ship 200 a week" and "we're the biggest" - I guess you have to go with the Fatburger defense with someone so naive as to think big is good - "200 shipped is not 200 happy" - the lack of respect and the poor treatment are worse than anything I have seen. And I know that I'm just dealing with some children who thought it might be a great idea to go into business. But there is a basic responsibility for those who open a business and when you begin taking people's money, you have a responsibility to do more than communicate when you feel like it, and complain and give excuses whenever you can't deliver.

i'm a CEO for two companies and I do not have time for this - but getting treated like this has made me dedicate my life to making sure that Kota Scooters loses a wheel.

I don't give a fuck what people think Kota has for an excuse, the point remains that if he doesn't want to commit to operating a business, shipping in a timely manner, and actually having any customer service at ALL, then they shouldn't be running a business. If his situation doesn't permit him to do that, then he should stop. I can't believe anyone is on his side here. I mean maybe if it was a couple days late, or even a week or two, but my friend has been waiting over a MONTH for his deck. They've ignored his emails and calls, claimed that it had been shipped out multiple times but never gave him a tracking number, and they didn't even have it in stock until around early-mid January, when they told him "we're picking up the new shipment tonight, and then we'll send it out." That's deceit and lying, and the makings of a dishonest, unreliable business. If anyone on here tried to pull that shit in the Trading Post, they'd be flamed a million times over and banned until their stuff got to whoever bought it. It happens all the time.

I'm just going to make a company and start selling products and if I ship something late, I'll just be straight up honest as to why I did what I did.

Customer - "You said you'd ship my product last week.. why didn't it ship?"
Myself - "Well, I wanted to beat the lunch rush to In N Out, so I skipped your package... want a double double with your scooter?"
