1) Name: Zane Bishop

2) SR User Name: Zaηe

3) Age: 13

4) City: Melbourne

5) State: Victoria

6) Country: Australia

7) How long you have been a member on SR: Since the 24th of March 2009, so nearly 2 years.

8) How did you hear about SR: Amongst searching and watching videos.

9) Why you think you are qualified to be one of the new moderators: Iv'e been on the SR for a long time now, i know who everyone is, how it all works and the rules quite well. I know how community forums work and how to navigate them well.

10) What is something unique you can offer that no one else can: Australian insight, since there is no other Australian moderators.

11) Your biggest complaint about SR currently: Well the SR has been running as smoothly as ever, i'd say it's just as good as you can get for a community forum.

12) What you like most about SR currently: The updates and posts on the homepage.

13) Things you think need to be changed on SR: Nothing comes to mind, the homepage has started being updated again so i cant say that. I think there needs to be Aussie mods again, because all mods/admins/peacekeepers are American. Australian mods are able to be on at different times too so there is moderator on at all times to ensure everything is as it should be.

14) Your plan for changing these things: There isnt much to change, i plan to keep everything tidy and as it should be.

15) Anything else you would like to add that you feel might qualify you more for this position than someone else: I use the SR every night and it's my next thing to check straight after Facebook, i go through every new post/bumped/popular thread to see whats happening. I would be dedicated to make sure everyone is behaving and all threads and sections are being used properly, and il never be away from the site for long periods of time.

Zane, I haven't looked at all of them yet but just going on how he usually acts and stuff..

I looked at a bunchhh of them, some of the ones by kids I already see as "not mod material' I just kinda skimmed over for now, but Zane and Matthew Porter seemed like the best choices in my opinion.

I was thinking Kyle Springer so far actually, I know him pretty well personally. He is young right now too... younger kids tend to stay on SR for longer. Once they hit around 18ish years old they lose interest or life slaps them in the face and they can't continue doing stuff. But I'd be open for anyone you guys are, we'll get a list of people for voting within the next 3-4 days I'd say, and get probably 2 new ones? I'd say no more than 3 right now.

Edit: I know they're long, but can anyone who has some free time look over the SD5 article and/or the Canada comp article? I wanna get some feedback. Whenever Andrew checks em out they will be up on front page.

Here's my moderator application for SR.

1) Name: Dom Marconi
2) SR User Name: Dom Marconi
3) Age: 16
4) City: Bay Village
5) State: Ohio
6) Country: US
7) How long you have been a member on SR: Just under 3 years
8) How did you hear about SR: Youtube
9) Why you think you are qualified to be one of the new moderators: I think that I am qualified to be one of the new moderators of SR because I am dedicated to making The Scooter Resource a more respectable website for all scooter riders, and willing to put forth the time and effort to do so.
10) What is something unique you can offer that no one else can: I can offer a unique reasoning skill, and the ability to react quickly to any posts or threads that are not required/misplaced. I have more experience than most users on the website, and can offer key, helpful information.
11) Your biggest complaint about SR currently: The amount of arguing going on in threads that are meant for another purpose.
12) What you like most about SR currently: The ability to get feedback for any questions that one may have, and having a community of other scooter riders to talk to.
13) Things you think need to be changed on SR: The rules for fighting and profanity in threads should be more heavily enforced; too many threads are more full of useless posts than posts that relate to the thread.
14) Your plan for changing these things: Frequently monitoring threads for posts that are degrading to the forums, and enforcing them properly.
15) Anything else you would like to add that you feel might qualify you more for this position than someone else: Most importantly, I have been around on this forum much longer than others, and I have a deeper, more intricate knowledge of our sport and its history, which is key to helping fellow scooter riders around the forum.

Cheers!
Dom Marconi

10) What is something unique you can offer that no one else can: well im not sure but i dont think there are any australian moderators on the site.
11) Your biggest complaint about SR currently: probably there is too many stuck up people that have a go at others for nothing.

My name is Anthony Siracuse (Anthσny). I am 14 and I reside in Riverside California. I have been on the forums since
2008 but never joined until 2-24-10. I found out about Scooter Resource from a good friend of mine Monky. I feel I am very
qualified for the job because I am mature, and I always try to help when I can. I think something I can do is give it my all
to help as much as I can. I honestly like SR the way it is, except I liked it when POTW and COTW were up. The most recent
thing I have noticed that I like is how the forum is organized now. I love SR the way it is and I think nothing needs to be
changed currently. I think I could help by reporting or banning if I have the authority. I think I am well qualified for the job.
Thank you SO much for giving people an opportunity.

-Anthony

11) Your biggest complaint about SR currently:Na
12) What you like most about SR currently:the people
13) Things you think need to be changed on SR:The designs and page layer and less people spamming
14) Your plan for changing these things: I don't know but reminding people what to make the right choices
15) Anything else you would like to add that you feel might qualify you more for this position than someone else:Yep I would like to thank you for reading my entry

2) SR User Name: justin ware
3) Age:15
4) City: Geraldton
5) State: Western Australia
6) Country: Australia
7) How long you have been a member on SR: coming up to a year
8) How did you hear about SR: my mate found it and told me about it.
9) Why you think you are qualified to be one of the new moderators: i think i would be a great moderator because i am on the computer a bit and when im on the computer i am on scooter reasorse.
10) What is something unique you can offer that no one else can: i am from australia and there are no aussie mods and aussie land can get spamed a bit and nothing is done about it unless reported. so i could moderate aussie land and no other mod would have to worry about it.
11) Your biggest complaint about SR currently: most people would tell you that it is the " youngor" members or 2010ers. i find the main problem is the people who have no respect, the people who make useless posts or comment on a thread saying something stupid for fun.
12) What you like most about SR currently: SR is a very welcoming community accepting new and old riders
13) Things you think need to be changed on SR: The only thing that needs to be changed is that the rules need to be enforced more.
14) Your plan for changing these things: get new mods, but that is what is happening now so hopefully soon SR will be peaceful.
15) Anything else you would like to add that you feel might qualify you more for this position than someone else: i think who ever gets the position, they should be Austalian whether it be me or any one else.
also after the year i have been here, to my understandings know one has a grudge against me and never has.

i hope you take my application into concideration,

Justin Ware

5) Province: Ontario

6) Country: Canada
7) How long you have been a member on SR: I have been a member for about a year on SR.
8) How did you hear about SR: I heard about SR from a friend Kyle Springer.
9) Why you think you are qualified to be one of the new moderators: I have been on SR for about a year now which isn't that long but i know most people on the forum now, i am nice to everyone, i also know full html and JavaScript coding for websites ( if that helps)
10) What is something unique you can offer that no one else can: As i said in the post above i know full HTML and JavaScript coding which most people dont know that, on january 15th of this year i also hosted the first annual Ward Scooter Comp in guelph ontario, as matt dibble knows.
11) Your biggest complaint about SR currently: I honestly do not have any complaints about SR right now, the layout is much better than other forums, it is easy to read everything on the forum. the only thing i could think of is lots of people being dicks to other people just trying to ask something.
12) What you like most about SR currently: I like that most people are nice to everyone and that SR is a great place to learn new information about the scooter industry.
13) Things you think need to be changed on SR: I think that on SR we need to enforce rules more, there is always fights going on between two or more users in most threads.
14) Your plan for changing these things: I would change that just by warning people more to stop arguing or they will be banned and if they dont then i would ban them for a short period of time.
15) Anything else you would like to add that you feel might qualify you more for this position than someone else: not really just wanted to get the mod possition but i just read on the bottom of the 2nd page that thhis contest is over haha. oh well still wanted to make use of my application.

5) State:Arizona

7) How long you have been a member on SR:I have only been a member since November of 2010, but I have lurked the forums since about 2008 if i may.
8) How did you hear about SR:I heard about SR by one of my local friends and found out more when i purchased from them.
9) Why you think you are qualified to be one of the new moderators:I think I am quite qualified to be one of the new moderators because I respect people and I know how to manage a forum. Yeah i also know a lot about scooters so I could also help people than need help. I am very active on Sr, I'd say about 4 hours at least every day.
10) What is something unique you can offer that no one else can:I can offer complete and total honesty and respect. Other people might offer the same, but I can assure their quality will not be as good as mine. :)
11) Your biggest complaint about SR currently:My only complaint is all of the people that flame and spam and argue.
12) What you like most about SR currently:I like that there are thousands of members and tons of them are very active.
13) Things you think need to be changed on SR:The flaming needs to stop and we need to get back to scootering instead of arguing all the time.
14) Your plan for changing these things:I plan to help people realize that we aren't a very big sport so we could make it better by getting along. As long as people know that our sport will be way better if nobody is arguing and hating each other then they will realize they aren't helping the sport and they will stop their malicious ways.
15) Anything else you would like to add that you feel might qualify you more for this position than someone else:I have managed forums before, I know how people work, and I am very mature for my age. And yes i realize I am going to need to follow Rule 2 more because in a few of my posts were some cuss words and I deeply apologize.

Thanks for reading!

1) Name: Tyler Billman
2) SR User Name: tylerbillman
3) Age: 17
4) City: Fayetteville
5) State: North Carolina
6) Country: United States of America
7) How long you have been a member on SR: I've been lurking since spring 08 and a member since winter 08
8) How did you hear about SR: I saw a link in a youtube video which led me to the Scooter Resource.
9) Why you think you are qualified to be one of the new moderators: I'm responsible, don't take any tomfoolery and know when to post and when not to.
10) What is something unique you can offer that no one else can: I look at all sides of everything before making a decision and have the humility to base decisions on facts and not opinion when needed.
11) Your biggest complaint about SR currently: I really don't like all the senseless posting and bitch-fits (for lack of a worse word) that continually clutter the forums. Also I'm kinda bummed no one is really putting new footage out but that's just opinion!
12) What you like most about SR currently: I like the flashbacks you've done and really just like the front page the most out of everything. It reminds me of SR from when I originally joined.
13) Things you think need to be changed on SR: I think a few of the rules should be revamped and that stricter enforcement on non-relavent posts needs to be put into place. Also, there needs to be a more accessible section for beginners/noobies who most likely couldn't find the new member information without help. It seems most of these kids have zero to no experience with forums. I would also love to see the POTW and COTW revived.
14) Your plan for changing these things: For the newbies, a section on the front page could be added with the rules and tips, and maybe even a tutorial video on good forum us could be made. For the bitching, mods could crack down, but that may decrease user satisfaction so that subject is touchy. Maybe a three-strike system would work. For the rules, a sort of pow-wow of mods could be arranged and with the front page and Clip and POTWs, I would seek fellow moderator's phone numbers/AIMs/etc and begin disscussing the division of work along with the voting system and how to change the front page.
15) Anything else you would like to add that you feel might qualify you more for this position than someone else: I can PM and I'm not an ingnorant dolt.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!
