just because we are in debt doesn't mean we stop spending. our country is in perpetual debt, if we are going to spend money it should at least go towards go causes.

That is false. My friends brother just got back from his 2nd tour in iraq he told me so much has been accomplished. He told me that the country has changed for the better we saved thousands off lives by taking sadamm out we created democracy the Iraqi police force is able to handle themselves we defeated the islamic terroist and beat the Iraqi republican guard within 3 weeks there.

And back on the gun laws I still dont see why people think stricter background checks will make a difference? A majority of gun crimes are commited with criminals with unregistered guns and NO gun liscence they get it through black market. So stricter background checks wouldnt make a difference. I also think somebody shouldnt have to conceal their weapon.

On the topic of christianity vs. homosexuals, I heard somewhere that there's been some evidence that homosexuality isn't a lifestyle choice, but rather occurs at birth, so I looked into it and found an article on it ( http://news.softpedia.com/news/Homosexual-by-Birth-41918.shtml ). If that's true, then that might make a big change in many christians' attitudes - homosexuals will then probably have to be considered in the same way as disabled people, and there will probably be some revisions made to the bible (the holy bible: the revised 21st century edition LOL, word of god right thurr eh), either that or all the creationists will argue to death that the evidence is false, etc, etc.

but i read a lot of articles like that and it deals with the sex hormones given to you in the womb are obviously different.
they did a test with twins, and found 50 percent or something like that if one was gay, so was the other.

theyve already proved that its before birth, the problem is they cant figure out where this gene is or if it is a gene or something to do with the mother.

and a lot of you obv wont know this but if one person in your family is gay chances are there are more then one.

Imo, death penalty does help put an end to a good deal of crime (eg. china - they implemented the death penalty for relatively minor offenses such as pickpocketing, and the petty crime rate dropped significantly), but then again you have to look at all the cases where people are wrongfully convicted. Even if forensic technology keeps getting better, there still is going to be some degree of uncertainty in an investigation, so yeah, maybe extended sentences are a better option.

And to whoever said gay marriage should be made illegal, I want to know why. And if you try to give me any religious or homophobic bullshit I will just ignore you.

In response to your gay marriage part. Priest shouldn't be forced against their religion to marry same sex couples. If it's their faith. Also men could marry men and not even be gay. This could be a problem for insurance and healthcare

No, I meant that gay couples should be able to receive the same marriage benefits that straight married couples receive. You also don't have to be in a church to get legally married either.

And about the men marrying other men and not being gay part, I don't know of any self-respecting straight guy who would willingly get married to another dude, even if their relationship is completely platonic.

Dont people deserve second chances, and all those people in the army/secret servise kill for the country to protect other people for the greater good. And who has the right to give the deathpenalty to a killer they are just doing what the the killer did. I do see your point if someone was murdered you would like to have justice served to the killer, but not bye death thats just sadening his or her family bye putting the burden on two peoples familys now.
