do u think im wrong for trying to promote my self in the case where i get free stuff for it? honestly do u think it is so bad that i actually wanna try to be one of the best scooter riders out there and make a name for myself for in that case i can promote myself to get sponsorships and products?
My opinion on this is that sure people will hate me for the fame i try to get and the publicity i crave but honestly if u think about it im not using people, as some of u may say, i mean sure i do get free products and stuff liek that but i help make that product popular amongst the kids i come into contact with. example: scooter zone hooks me up with mad good deals on decks and a bunch of other stuff, is it to much, maybe sometimes, but everytime i go to the skate park and parents come up to me and say "where do u get your scooter?" automatic response is i get the razor promodels from scooter zone the bars from sr and the forks from sr and the wheels are micro metal cores then i give them a flyer from scooter zone and one of andrews cards. also when kids on myspace message me which they do alot asking me where to get cool after models products i tell them buffs are my favorite bars and they will never go wrong with the forks but if u like one pieces or are on a budget check out scooter zones bars they sturdy and legit and semi cheap. so basically what im trying to get at is someone an old friend of mine told me well is it worth changing the way u ride cause more then half the whole scooter population cali hates u for it? honestly yes it is worth it, if thats even true or not, because if there gonna hate me for doing what i think is right to help not only me but the people who support me and hook me up, then they were never really my friends in the first place. also i got "dont u miss the good old twan that scootered for fun and would teach kids tricks and get there backs if they needed it?" well when u think about i still have way fun scootering i mean if i didn't why ride its not like i get a salary its not a job its more of a hobby, and i do help kids still at skate parks i teach all kids what they want when they ask i still am nice and i will stick u for any scooter kid getting picked on by a skater no matter what that's me and i will always be like that. so yes i have changed in the fact that i am more popular then i was 4 years ago when i started but that is bound to happen when u stick with a sport u love and progress. and do i deserve the sponsorships honestly? i believe i do i am so dedicated to the sport its almost kinda stupid. Example; when i was at sc skatepark and i feel on my head dustin nooner who i love like a brother drove my car and me to the hospital and i had a serious concusion got all those sweet x-rays and what not, and what did i do 10 min after being out of the hospital? made a sandwhich cause i hungry, lol, but then went right back to the skate park and rode my scooter, im sorry but im very dedicated to this sport.so yeah i get free stuff but i do not use people for it i mean james from scooter zone that guy is so tight i dunno what i would do without that guy he not only hooks me up with products, but he gives me advice on things that no one else could, and andrew well we all know andrew is sick as shit, but i know andrew differently then most u scooter riders, he might act like he dgafs about stuff but that guy has had my back since day one so thank u to everyone who has helped me in my life even u john radtke and all of dxg i appreciate it and if u dont like my views im sorry but there MY VIEWS so it really only matters what i think about them. i will keep on promoting myself and my sponsors as much as possible but mostly for the sport.
thank u if u read this whole thing it means alot to me =)
p.s. raymond is my man =)
