umm...cnc machined aluminum cone washers to apply the correct force on the back bearings? This would also protect your back wheel from getting destroyed on ledges. Pre-tapped decks for pedal pins, although I'm sure you've already thought of that. Female hex/allen head bolts for front and back axles (like on bmx hubs). Need more ideas?
Eww female axles suck, I destroyed my Profile 3/8" female axle.

Wheels with spokes and inflatable tires? Get some KHEs on my scooter :)

Cone washer thing would be smart.
Axles with lock nuts would be sweet, so you wouldn't have to worry about over-tightening your axle, but it'd be hard because the axle can't just slide into the dropouts of a scooter deck.
Unless.. Andrew beat us to that idea and is going to make decks and forks with slotted dropouts haha.

Pneumatic arm to replace brake springs anyone?

The whole bike axle idea is a little overkill.
But I still wouldn't put it past him.

How can you say female axles suck when chances are you're running stock razor axles right now. Those are female. Also, by hex/allen, I meant that they had a hex head for standard wrenches but also had an allen head inside it for use with allen keys.

See how it works with standard wrenches and allen keys?

I used to ride bikes, and I've had bad experiences with female axles, at least compared to standard bike axles.
I ride grade 8 steel bolts for axles, thanks :)
As for hex heads with allen heads brouched, or however you spell it, they would be great if you did em like the razor axles, 2-piece.
If you did them like female bike axles, 3-piece, that wouldn't work too well.

But enough on axles.
For such a small size (5/16"), axles with threads on both sides, or female axles, are just not practical.

Not sure how that makes sense. Stock axles are female and they work fine. You wouldn't make them 3 piece, female doesn't neccesarily mean 3 piece. It would be exactly like stock axles except with the hex with allen head.
