Question guys:

If i was to get mini vultures, and wanted to just get a half knuckle to use as a double clamp, then which mini vultures do I get? Because I've noticed one is HIC and the other is a Crowbar model. Just wondering because i'm guessing i don't need a Hidden Internal Compression or whatever.

It comes with a shim so you can use it with either the big or small steer tube. So it's whatever you want, really.

Okay... so if I wanted to get mini-vultures and simply use the half knuckles like a normal double clamp for threaded forks, I would get the Corwbar model, not the HIC ones.

I hate starnuts, so I just used the old long compression bolt with my brass knuckle and it works perfect. I love it, it's so solid.

And I think I'll probably be alone with this, but I kinda like the look of the full knuckle better than the baby knuckle. And it's barely more weight, basically unoticeable...

He probably use the bolt going down from the top, at least I hope. And when you compare the Baby and OG SCS, there's a significant weight difference.

yeah i think he did use thebolt going thru the bottom but that basically defeats the purppose of the scs and makes it just a big clamp

Why is there no point? It still acts as the compression. I have the bolt going up though a compression cap and 1/4 nut inside the clamp, works perfect and I'm using it for what it is meant.

Then you still have to take your bars and wheel off to tighten your headset, so it is pointless and (as Tom said) essentially a giant clamp.
