Smart phones and tablets

I feel like ios runs quite a bit smoother than any android phone i've had or used. I love my iPhone.

you've probably never used a decent android phone. go to bestbuy and try to make a galaxy s2 variant lag. it just wont, it's impossible.

iphones only have a 800mhz processor while most new android phones have 1200+. the reason iphones still run smooth (most of the time) is because ios is so simplistic it doesnt need that much power to process. even then, most newer android phones are faster and lag less than iphone.

its funny because that isnt even the epic 4g touch, thats the original epic 4g, which is under powered by todays standards.

not exactly sure about roms, not too good with phones yet.

i prefer an ipod touch and a phone. works just as good as any smartphone and is a lot cheaper.

unless you leave your house

Fuck the iphone (all I have to say)

Samsung Galaxies all day (and I don't even have one)

why are you so into this stuff
iphones are the best of the best, and always will be
don't agree? try asking the 99% of people around the world who use them
it's as simple as that

The specs on other phones don't lie also tied with the numerous experiments. 99 percent of iphone users are incredibly ignorant and don't know anything about phones, which makes sense, because why would you pay more for a phone that has less, blocks way more features, is slower, and has awful durability. Apple is the best at advertising and trend setting. It's easily the catchiest phone on the market, and it broke barriers in getting the smartphone market rolling, but it's literally so outclassed now, it's not worth comparing to newer elite smart phones.

Actually out of the 5.6 billion cell phone users in the world there has only been 73 million iPhones sold which is 0.04% (i think) of the people that use phones use iphones. imo the only real reason people consider iPhones better is because you get the cool factor of owning one i guess they do feel like they have a higher build quality but still not worth the extra you pay

Rooted gs2 varients can do literally everything. No matter how much jailbraking you do on an iphone you still have the same shitty firmware and slow ass processor. Oh and unlike the fags at apple they a tually let you mod your firmware however you please without breaking the warrenty. My phone even has developer options that let me change anything i want, and it came with it.

lol i still dont understand the need for 12 gb Ram lol.

There is honestly no point unless you do graphic design or use similar programs.

I agree with everything that Anthony said about iphones. My Motorola droid(the original) is way better then even the Iphone 4s and my phone is 2 years old, I got it the day it was released.

My iMac has 16gb of ram, it really doesn't make much of a difference.

And this thread has gotten me so stoked to get a Galaxy S3 when it comes out haha.

I did some research on some different smart phones but still don't understand some things. I read that ICS or Ice Cream Sandwich is a "Ram Processer." (I think that's what you call it) And I also read that my phone (Samsung Stratosphere) might upgrade to ICS. Is that true? I'm kind of clueless when it comes to the inner technology in phones. Another question is: I am using the "Task Manager Widget" and I am using around 260mb out of the 380mb in my ram. Am I slowing down my phone? My last question is: Is there a way to delete the default apps? I really will never use apps like NFL Mobile, Amazon Kindle and Blockbuster.
I know I'm a noob but: Tips for people with Androids

Uninstall the games that come default on your phone! My phone came with Lets Golf 2 and it was 128megabytes. That was also on my phones internal storage which is only 2gigabytes. My phone also came with NFS Shift. That was 140megabytes and was also on my phones internal storage! You can't fully delete these games but you can "Uninstall updates" which brings it's size down to about 8kilobytes.

My last tip (I know I only have two) is that you should clear your browsers history and cache daily. I never cleared my history or cache for about a month and it said it took up 40megabytes of space! You should also clear your RAM daily and stop all apps that you are not using.

I didn't type this shit for nothing...

I detect a fanboy. Please leave, fanboy. My 1 1/2 year old Droid X does everything better than your phone, which I'm going to assume is an iPhone 4.

Ha aha ha. I read that in a robot voice in my head and I nearly pissed my self. :D :D :D :D
