Lately Ive been seeing all the little scooter teams, or companies and come to this conclusion. To be on a team or ride for a company riding scooters riding dictates about 40% of the chance you have to get on. The other 60% is if your "cool" with everybody on the team. Lately Ive seen quite a lot of people sucking up to certain companies so they can get sponsored and its pissing me off. I'm not naming any people. But in the end the people who are "cool" with everybody on the team get on the team and they don't deserve it, other better riders do but they weren't "cool". I'm not trying to start anything really I'm just trying to point out go ride a scooter, get footage and get sponsored. Not sit online all day and try desperately to hold conversations with people in high places in the scooter community so you can be "cool" and get sponsored. I mean shouldn't it be about riding not being good at persuading people? You suck ups know who you are. I feel sorry for you.

I might not always like Dylan, or his riding...540 dub whips to fakie...lyke ew omg(Jk..) But no seriously. That was very well said. But fact of the matter is, even if someone gets on the team that may have less talent, but more ermm...popularity with the current team members, it still wont be a spot wasted in my eyes. When riders get sponsored, it brings out a new side of them. Lights a fire under there ass so to speak, because they now need to earn there right to keep that spot. I got a good idea whos gonna get on Micro. But yea i do agree theres been a little ass kissing going on.

nice job dylan. basically i totally agree with you. except i think its prolly a like 60 percent riding, and 40 percent being "cool" deal.

i agree that riding should be more important, but that doesn't negate someone's personality. in my opinion, for a team to really be a TEAM, everyone has to get along well and be friends.

have you seen razor? that "team" is a joke. they've got great riders, but they all clash so much and its run so poorly theres little respect for it. thats why i'm saying personality also needs to be taken into account, the best riders don't necessarily need to get the best spots.

its the same way in real life. when you go for a job, your resume/technical skills open the door and get you an interview, but its your personality and people skills during the interview that actual get you the job.

i agree with that 100% sean

in NO way do i think sponsorship should ever be about JUST the riding. like you said, its a team, not just some rider getting free parts because hes good, hes gotta contribute positively also. in that light i think that maybe 60/40 is unreasonable, but something like 50/50 personality/riding is fine

I agree with this but i would say its attitude rather than personality. just ride for fun dont worry about getting sponsored or whos better or worse just have fun!
