Fancy bars break. Simple, clean and solid were the goals and that is what they are. John is probably having trouble with his scooter flips because when he ordered his bars he changed his height and width (taller and wider) which naturally would make them harder not the design. He just has to get used to the new size or cut them back down to his original size. After about a week of riding (getting used to his bars) Twan was throwing bigger, cleaner and more consistent scooter flips than ever.ricky wernicke said:

Buff bars are a little bit heavier (naturally) but I know for a fact Twans' deck has about 10 pounds of reinforcements in it so that is probably most of what you were feeling.Kenny Owens said:

yeah i love the feel of the buffs, but i just cant scooterflip them because of the way i throw scooterflips.
for front scooterflips i take my hand off super early so its really really hard throw

Also the thing about complex bars being weak or whatever, I think what adrew means is that the more simple the design is then the less problems it may have. More parts=more to break or have problems with.

Exactly... and stock Razor bars have A LOT of moving parts so naturally they won't feel as solid and will break easier.coryM said:

Is the column made of aluminium? if yes, unless it's hella thick (which I highly doubt considering how a stock clamp fits them) it will be as prone to breaking as a stock razor bar.

Stock clamps don't fit them because they are "hella" thick. I will most likely be changing the crossbar to chromoly though because the mild steel is a little weak. My bars have a slight bend in them just from normal riding and Twan bent his crossbar pretty bad but it was from throwing it.Pete Pachota said:

but they do make your ride feel extremly solid
no problems as for bending, still ride just like they were when i got them.
