Weed SHOULD be legalized. It would lower crime as all teh cops out looking for drugs and stuff could be focusing on murders and stuff like that ,more important stuff. And it just makes sense to legalize it.

Here in Newfoundland you can smoke weed in front of police stations. Its really not a huge deal, the only time comps give a fuck is if your selling a lot or selling laced shit. Pot is unofically legal here....

besides having other people buy it, theres some stores that sell to minors. theres one by me that makes most of their money selling beer to college kids.
and youre definitely right about drunk driving, besides risking your own life, you put everyone else on the road in danger.
I dont drive so i dont have to worry about it.... it just sucks having to find a sober person in the croud to give you a ride lol

I heard once that driving drunk isn't really a big problem in the US. I once read an article criticizing the polish way of fighting this issue, it was contradicted with a story of someone in America who bought a Porshe, then after a few drives he got caught driving drunk and as a result, he was charged with some riddiculous fee, then he had to sell the car for nothing, cause he was forbidden to drive, etc, in the end he ended up losing thousands of dollars by one drunk drive.

Dre, i know this is the rant thread and all, but please, try to choose your words more carefully. I know that there are some people on SR who do smoke, and, while i certainly don't agree with it, I recognize that everyones views need to be respected. so yup. lol wow i ranted (eh, kinda)
I hate when my friends pick up smoking. I hate the damn things 100% and they dont do anything but bad for you. I could understand if it got you high but it dosent. EVEN IF IT DID I would hate it, too much damage to ones self. I don't hate smokers, I hate the pregnet smokers and the smokers who smoke around thier kids. 2nd hand smoke is a killer.

Pffft driving drunk is a big problem in the US. I think alcohol/drunk driving is one of the top causes of death. Getting a DUI can ruin alot of stuff for you, so its not worth doing. One of my friends totaled their dads car going 90 (dont give me thats not that fast bullshit, dude was trashed) on i95 and somehow got away with being drunk with beer in the car, could have ruined his life if he got caught.Pete Pachota said:

My brother and his 2 friends were driving down this freeway all drunk, its the galveston causeway, which i think theyre tearing down now, it goes over the ocean, they werent at the top, but about 20 ftish up. They went into the middle lane when another car did( theyre other friends who were wasted), hit tires, and swerved off , hit the guardrail like the in the picture and fell IN BETWEEN the 2 freeways, if they wouldve gone about a foot farther out theyd all be dead now. When they got into the water my brother got out with only brooses and and started screaming at all the people at the top looking if anyone has a knife to cut a seatbelt, people threw pocketknives and stuff down , and one hit my brothers hand but he couldnt grab it. Then some guy who knew the ocean well dove like 20-30 ft down and helped cut the seatbelt of the driver. My brother wasnt hurt, the passenger wouldve has a pole through him if he wasnt wearing a seatbelt, and a rupturred spleen., and the driver died BUT they brought him back barely, i was like 8ish at the time and they wouldnt let me see him because they thought itd scare me, supposedly his face was pretty much all bloody pulpish. and they wouldnt let me see him, All of them stuff drink and drive except my brother, he has his girlfriend drive him haha, but yeah im totally against drunk driving.
I'm not trying to single out anybody on SR. This thread is meant to be a place where people can express their opinions, not I HATE YOU AND YOU'RE STUPID FOR THINKING THAT WAY thread. Maybe I was being a little harsh when I said that I HATE smokers, but I just don't understand why people want to smoke themselves into their own graves (I guess it's just natural selection), and make other people suffer for it. (I mean second hand smoke, all the extra taxes we have to pay because these people need lung transplants, etc.) So I just mean to express my opinion, and if anyone disagrees or agrees, whatever; this is the thread to do it in!Nate Grant said:

ugh smoking pisses me off when some of my friends I've known basically all my life start smoking because they have been hanging around the wrong people to try to be cool. It really happens. There is like a group of girls around here, all they do EVERY day for the most part, is drink and smoke. They are the biggest losers I've ever met. Girls my age, hanging aroud 20 year olds to get them beer and cigarrettes...They're such a mess haha, this one girl I know was flipping out because she NEEDED cigarrette. That's my rant for today.
