Okay, so for all who wondered how sophie got into the barn:

Turns out Otus found her in the woods(as a zombie). But he found her before Karl ever got shot, and the others ever started camping out at the house. Otus was going to tell the group but shane shot him in the leg and left him for dead. So practically the whole group was killing themselves to find a girl that the people that owned the house already knew about. Thats why the father never wanted them to know about the barn.

Best show ever. It's not just a big group of Zombies killing everyone. Theres survivors, and there is drama within the group also. It's not just a big gory killing spree like most zombie movies. I spent my whole sunday catching up on last season.

When you could have been riding.

the first half of the 2nd season starts off slow and drags on for awhile and is in no way better than the first

The first season drew in an audience cause of the action, the second season is (so far) focusing on the drama, story, and characters. Both seasons are amazing, and you definitely need to watch the first season to understand the character development in the second.

actualy your right. when i think about it the mid-season finale made up (and gave a great explanation) as to why the sophia story line was so long.

Yeah I agree to whoever above! The first season was all action.
I got a quick question though, so in one of the season 2 episodes. The little 5 minute intro, it was of the city being bombed & the goverment destroying the whole city. Can anyone tell me what that was about?

The government was bombing Atlanta, which basically means they are giving up hope of eradicating the walkers. They bombed the city to kill as many as they can, but they also killed anyone who was still alive in the city.

Reading the actual book right now. Pretty tight.

The book is always better. I think killing Shane off earlier in the book than they did in the show was a lot better for the story. It allowed the other characters to get past the whole Lori/Shane relationship awkwardness with Rick coming back, and gave everyone more room to develop more. In the show, it wastes so much time giving Shane conversation and developing him when he should be buried back in the woods.

Just finished watching season 1 and 2. I'm going to read the book now, but i have a question in season 1 in one of the flashbacks when Shane was trying to get Rick out of the hospital when he was in ocoma, why did he hide from the government guys? We're they killing alive people too? Why would they do that?

I think they would have killed anything they saw moving, not to take any chances. That, or he was trying to stay in the hospital as long as he could without being forcefully evacuated.
