in actuality, the only factor that has changed is the close knit community quality. everything is pretty much the same. haha i remember getting on here everyday and there would be a continued argument from like a week prior... ha and it was probably jdben's undoing. like someone said earlier, its the sport that has changed not sr

I know i havent been on this forum for ages, and i have no idea what i used to be like, but i love SR and scootering in general, sure somethings suck, like little kids, but i can go on the internet and have discussions with some of the best riders in the sport, thats awesome for me

The community died because I left.. But it's okay you can all love each other again, I'm here.

I really love that I can come on here and get advice or ask a question to some of the people I look up to. I can't think of another sport or place where that would be possible.

Interesting thread-

Just some thoughts in general about time/age

A lot of people that joined in the early days are quite a bit older now:

2006 to 2012 = 6 years
If you were 10 you are now 16
If you were 12 you are now 18
If you were 15 you are now 21

Even if it was only 5 years ago

say you were 15 now 20- that 5 year difference is pretty huge

Huge difference between some one that is 21 and some one that is 15/16
Now some 16 yr olds may be mature but just in access to stuff 21 is a big number.

How many 16 yr olds want to hang out with 13 yr olds??

You have to at least account for your own aging and already seeing most of everything, all the younger kids haven't had the chance yet to experience what you have- to them it is all new.

Of course with every new "Thing" Sports/Music scene once it becomes popular it does seem to lose some of the luster if you were one of the OG members.
