the scooter fork is cnc'd. cnc machines are soooo damn expensive (to buy, proto has their own machine and lucky probably does too, someone has to pay for it and the money had to come from somewhere.) , the price is kinda justified.

i dont see why people are bitching. this is the type of economy we have, people need to make a profit in order to live and keep the business going. yes people need profit, if not then theres no incentive to owning and running a company. the parts may be pricey but they arent something normal riders will be buying every week. until the world moves on to a resource based economy or something similar to that, we will just have to deal with it.

PPL charge to much for labor

it's called profit, and if you had a company you would be trying to make profit too. why do work for nothing? i realize thom cat is apparently non profit, and if he is then thats great for him and he has my utmost respect, but you can't expect everyone to do work for very little money. you wouldnt go to work everyday if you were getting paid 25 cents an hour would you?

Capitalism (keeping the company alive). Basic economics (supply and demand).
Good point Anthony, and other previous posts

Companies do it because they can. Go look at the your scooter thread. People are clearly buying their products. It's also not about the materials used in the manufacturing. In fact, that is usually the least of their costs. The cost of labor, renting the machinery, the location used to produce all of these items all while keeping it so that the company is on a steady upward trend in terms of income? $#!T aint cheap.

I say, get a job, get what you need to ride, and ride.
