when i was little and the scooter craze first started, my parents got me one for christmas. It was a JDBug with front shocks and came with a razor video cassette. This was so long ago that the double whip was the pinacle of all tricks. As the fad died i moved onto bmx, but sucked. Then the skateboarding craze started in my home town, so i tried that aswell, and sucked even worse. I saw a vid on youtube last year (one of the guys from this site i think) and bought a Razor Pro the next day. Sure i scoot coz i suck at everything else, but i also scoot coz it has sentimental value, and DAM ITS FUN!!!

I ride scooters for several reasons. It's a really good form of transportation and excerise; smaller and safer than a bike, faster and more convenient than a skateboard. i've progressed at scootering more than biking or skating, so i decided to stick with scootering. i enjoy meeting new riders and going new places to ride. scootering clears my mind when im angry or upset or something; i can go out and ride and ill forget about all my problems and it'll make me feel better. but mostly, i ride because...

IT'S FUN!

Same here. Plus:
- Scootering made me a local superstar. I've been on TV twice, met a lot of russian bmx, skate and rollerblade pros and now I can easly go to any spot of the city and meet there some riding buddies and have a good time. No one here calls scootering gay or something, everyone respects my choice.
- I motivate other russian scooter riders to do some crazy stuff. There isn't a great number of riders here due to some reasons but they all love me and I teach them how to do tricks, give advices about reinforcements and so on. It feels great to contribute something into the sport =]
