Has anybody here dehubbed or chunked a vertx wheel?

this was my vertx wheel after i think 3 months. my back wheel was pretty much the same, but without the crack. i could peel off that chunk of pu if i felt like it. i bought them last june. i found these wheels really hard and they had a sort of "chalky" feel to them. they flatspotted easily and wore down really fast. after three months they went from 110 to about 98. i contacted vertx about it, and they said they might change the pu.

Wow dude that sucks a bit if that was only 3 months. I only wondered if anyone had broken these wheels because they're going cheap in my local shop and i was thinking about buying them! And i ride a LOT so i dont think they would they would last me long haha. I better just stick to phoenix wheels!

just because you had a bad experiance with them, doesnt mean everyone else will. stop giving them so much shit.

im just saying what happened to me. its not like im saying "fuck vertx is so gay" or anything. i actually like vertx and i hope they change the pu.
if someone asks for opinions about vertx wheels, i dont see what's wrong with giving them mine.

because i hated them so much. i could have just gotten a bad pair though, since i'm the only one that has found problems with them.

I carry around a pair in my backpack as backup wheels, I dont look forward to using them because they're SUPER hard, mine have a few cracks and stuff in the pu, but I use them when I have to. They're SOOOO fast though its unreal.

this exact same thing happened to mine in like 2 and a half months
but I still love them and the crack hasn't gotten any bigger

My vertx wheels were ridiculously slow but never wore down or chunked or got cracks. Maybe I got the wrong wheels lol
