this was my vertx wheel after i think 3 months. my back wheel was pretty much the same, but without the crack. i could peel off that chunk of pu if i felt like it. i bought them last june. i found these wheels really hard and they had a sort of "chalky" feel to them. they flatspotted easily and wore down really fast. after three months they went from 110 to about 98. i contacted vertx about it, and they said they might change the pu.

Wow dude that sucks a bit if that was only 3 months. I only wondered if anyone had broken these wheels because they're going cheap in my local shop and i was thinking about buying them! And i ride a LOT so i dont think they would they would last me long haha. I better just stick to phoenix wheels!

I've had my VertX wheels since June-ish, and they're still a good bit of PU on them.

i swapped a spare shim i had with my mate for this forged mgp deck. Next day i built a scooter out of a few spare parts including the mgp deck and started riding some street on it. It then started to crack after a while and bent when i landed so i just folded it and went home. I unfolded it and it snapped lol.

just because you had a bad experiance with them, doesnt mean everyone else will. stop giving them so much shit.

I carry around a pair in my backpack as backup wheels, I dont look forward to using them because they're SUPER hard, mine have a few cracks and stuff in the pu, but I use them when I have to. They're SOOOO fast though its unreal.

this exact same thing happened to mine in like 2 and a half months
but I still love them and the crack hasn't gotten any bigger
