Brock what you said is the difference between the hv20 an the hv30, not the hv30 and the hv40
fuck me, I mean native 24p.
What is that exactly?

Nah your pretty much right. Most film cameras run at 24 frames per second. 24P is 24 progressive frames per second. Its actually pretty useless to people filming scooters, unless your creative and don't slow mo shit.
Well thats what 24p is, but whats the difference between 24p and Native 24p haha? Thats the only thing Canon updated with the hv40.
Im not sure. My guess is that it is similar to the DVX's 24P and 24Pa. 24Pa is straight up 24p, which needs to be edited on a 24P timeline in your editing program. Regular 24P is 24 frames in a 60i wrapper (I think!!), which can be edited on a normal timeline and mixed with other footage 60i, 30p ect... footage.Well thats what 24p is, but whats the difference between 24p and Native 24p haha? Thats the only thing Canon updated with the hv40.
