If I ever learn to flair, I would do them to the left. They look cool and make your riding that much more unique.

I don't use a back peg on my district because it sticks out too far. From the picture of the mock deck, I suppose this would be the same situation where a front peg would still work nicely.
I have had the same Proto wheels for well over a year. Here in Georgia, we see anywhere from 20's to 100's of degrees Fahrenheit. Environment could be a factor, but I have ridden in both extremes with no problems.
