It is all preference, but 18 to 20 wide tend to be the easiest to adjust to any type of riding.

The best advice for a comp is to ride to the best of your ability and as smooth as possible. Don't be a try hard and do NOT think hard. Do what you know how to do and don't let anybody else get in your way. You are only as good as you let yourself be.

Cambos are 0 offset, I love them.

SMX make pegs stick out pretty far. Try a DSA Cambo, District, Inward, or Phoenix forks. They are all solid.
