FYI. This was strictly enforced before the old moderators shat and left the forum.
I personally don't know why Buff is cracking down on it again, and I agree with you to an extent, people should be allowed threads at the very least, but pay for adverts/banners makes sense.
I don't want to lock threads where companies can show their new products. I didn't want to do it anyway because of a reaction like this. Our community is small, and cracking down will only chase people away, which is why I'm fairly lenient on things.
Maybe Buff will come in here and clear it up better, or something.

I agree wholeheartedly. Complete and utter bullshit. The only reason I even come on here any more is to hopefully see some cool shit that hasn't come out yet (and I haven't been here long at all). Are we gonna delete the Trading Post next because people get to advertise their parts for free? lol, what a crock of shit.

well they should rename the forums "Proto forums", if they wana act like this...this used to be the BEST place to talk about scooters in general...if buff made this rule, then he should realize that he doesnt own the scooter WORLD and should be aware that there are other companies that have innovations too.

i didnt read a singl post, so all im gonmna say is, when you want to advertise something lets say on a billboard, its not going to be free. think of a thread being a billboard.

But billboards EVERYONE can see easily. And everyone can see the ads on top of the site easily.
But threads you cant you have to navigate to them

they pay 60-120 a month for the ad at the top, depending on certain things.
