The "Good Idea" Thread

Like hardline bars, they have like a oversized tube towards the middle of the bar, Like a gusset without it sticking out. Really heavy though! :(

Aluminum bars with a smaller ID in the downtube made for baby SCS compression systems.

Tapered fork tubes made for HIC so you can put a smaller shim over the fork and use regular sized bars instead of oversized.

More apparel!

I made a thread about this ages ago and just got called dumb(the second idea)
The first one I've been debating in my head for a while, if alu has to be thicker to be strong enough, instead of making it hic why not make it smaller? Probably a good idea, but you could only use it for SCS.

Basically, a fully CNC deck would be like $2000, and a forged deck is a terrible idea. There really is nothing wrong with the standard bolt system for Lucky style decks.
dude you are dumb,my machine shop teacher helped me make one and it wasn't nearly that much but I ended up selling it to my friend.

Pictures or it didn't happen.
iTz Arthur, the reason why they aren't is because each headset are slightly different, since they are such delicate parts, the fork race(what you call a crown race) is different for each one. If you were to use a race from, say a FSA on a cane creek you would not get as smooth and fast of a spin.

No, he didn't. I guarantee I'm far more experienced with machining then you are. Not to mention you are lying. You understand that you would need a block of aluminum that's 4 inches wide, like 8 inches tall, and almost three feet long? You would never be able to get your hands on a billet like that. It would be incredibly expensive.

I was obviously joking because so many people on here are idiots and think everyone is always 100% serious...

you wouldnt have to buy a whole new deck plate if it snapped. you could just sand off were it snapped and replace it with a phoenix brake. if the metal is thick enough on the deck plate it wont snap.
