I got new Yaks and I added a small peg to the front of my scoot today, haven't had a chance to test it though yet. Oh - and my camera is tempremental, apologies for the blurry first pic. Overview: [Link] Peg: [Link]

Perhaps try lubing up the wheel cup with some speed cream or other bearing lube before pushing them in on a hard, flat surface.

Not really, because if that were true people wouldn't bolt thier T bars to make them less likely to hit thier knees on it. Besides, an axel sticks out perhaps 1cm on either side. I dunno, if I had a drill I'd try it out on an old scoot I have.

I just stole some old Bones Reds outta some skateboard wheels I had lying around. They work well, and got no complaints so far.

I think he means that the black rims are too small, thus the pressure of the urethane is spread over a smaller surface area than that of Yaks etc, making it less durable.
