Anyone know of any good street spots near Oxford UK, weather is really shitty and want to ride

Hi, folks. Recently recommitted to scooting (it's been since college), and I purchased a new Honda PCX150. So far, so good. There's a lot to love here.

That said, I have a question for those who have more wisdom that I do...

I'm currently using the PCX as a commuter, traveling about 12 miles to/from the office, in sunny SoCal. Its top speed is rated in the high 60s, which is necessary for some bits of the commute. Is it *bad* for the scooter to run flat out, or are they built with tolerances for this kind of riding? Since Honda markets the PCX as its entry-level highway-legal scooter, I think you'd expect that it would have to run at full speed for several minutes at a time. While I'm not necessarily jumping on the 405, I did take an hour-long ride to San Clemente yesterday, and much of that ride required traveling at full speed.

Is that ok? For folks who own 50cc bikes, don't those essentially *live* at 35mph full-time?

I just don't want to blow my engine or unnecessarily shorten the life of the bike...

Thanks for your insight!

Sit it in a salt water bath. To speed things up add an electrical current to the salt bath with something like a car battery.

(don't actually do this)

Sandpaper?, Sandblaster would be easier if one of your friends have 1 , a local mechanic may have one and would raw it for like $10 $15 cash probably
