im sorry but brandon your dumb because proride decks were made long before the evo even came out
so therefor lucky copied proride with the evo
and nick you have to realize that all those bars are different
because they could be made out of a different metal and i for sure know that inward bars have internal gussets so i know that none of those bars are exactly the same they just look alike

But isn't that what everyone is complaining about? Bars and decks of one company looking similar to another company. Everyone on here needs to just lighten up and not worry about it. If you don't like a company, don't buy their parts.

well i honestly dont care if companys (copy) each other its gunna happen either way because most scooter companys dont have patents so thats where other companys come in and basically steal there sales and sell almost the same product but for cheaper which is what lucky did
and i think everyone that is getting all mad should just chill out because theres nothing we could do about (copying) its going to be around forever
so just deal with it

I have beef with proride. 1. I hate the fact there prices are extremely high
2. The fact that copied lucky's idea of a two piece deck like that even though if you think about micro extremes were the first 2piece technically. Also prorides bars that are have the v in the middle kinda are blatant rip offs of nick stricklers bars. and that really pisses me off because nick strickler innovated so much in our sport being the first one to bring the styling of flatland bmx into our sport. He inveted his own style completely and even made parts to support his style and he even said that in the future he planned on selling these parts to the public soon. But no, proride ruined that by stealing his design and quickly marketing them. Which really just gets on my tits(ya i went there). They also, like previously stated, copied scooterzones nipple design completely. I also just hate the whole attitude of the company how they just came into our sport and demanded respect like they were the best.

sorry for double post but you are also wrong
so your telling me these bars are blatant ripp offs of nick stricler bars?

they are in for the money.. so is every other company no one is going to be spending their time designing, selling, painting, anodizing, mass producing parts unless their getting paid

Man...everyone needs to chill a bit.

This tread was started by 'hating companies that copy others'...well, I think that this has been happening since man was created :)

Our sport has grown so quickly (read hypermode) over the last two years...and these are things that are going to happen. As a former BMXer, I can tell you that many of the parts you see today for the BMX industry look and feel identical...in some cases, without a company engraved logo...you would be hard pressed to identify the manufacturer. Over time, standards are created (just like the classic T bars) and then companies try to take that standard and make some minor mods to suit their company individuality. Maybe it's just the thickness of the metal and everything else looks the same. Maybe it's the type of welding. We shouldn't slam companies (too hard) for taking something that seems to work and making their version...even if it looks almost identical to someone elses design. I'm sure it's a balancing act for the companies making parts for our sport. They need to be innovative and yet turn a profit. If they don't make a profit, they go out of business...which is not a good thing. If they see that the classic T bars (for example) are selling well or certain pegs (another example) are a hot commodity...and they decide to create a similar product, we shouldn't slam them. This is growth and healthy competition. Understand, if someone has filed a patent and another company or individual tries to make a copy...then they deserve to be legally prosecuted and punished. Patents are created for a reason...I believe everything else should be fair game. This has a way of making the products we buy better and cheaper.

My $0.02 ...when buying something for my scooter...I try to get the best quality part at the best price...I really don't care too much where or who makes it...it has to fit my 'likes' , 'looks', and 'price point'. I think what is more important than companies that have similar (read copied) products is that they treat their customer base with respect and stand behind their products. If a company decides to copy a part or complete scooter (take the Razor Pro scooter and the FrenchID Muffin scooter...identical except for an added paint job)...and a patent exists...then that is what our legal system is for.

Phewwww...enough said already.

Peace Out :)

what in theee fuck does that have to do with anything. oh ya the only thing is the dip in the crossbar which just happens to be like the biggest feature in the bars.
