yh and the shim would be the bottom piece of a set of bars with slit put in it
i havent found any one that has actually tried it yet though

Hey, so for ICS - can you use ANY fork? Or does the fork need to have a perfect sized circle hole in the bottom to seat the "top cap" properly?

If ICS only works on certain forks, then which ones? (I am leaning towards the PROTO Senior - does ICS work with those?)

Right now though - I'm thinking HIC will be my way I go.

^^^HIC is definitely the way to go.

Quick question, is it bad for anything if I use HIC on a threaded fork? Cause I don't have any money for a new fork yet, but i'm getting new bars that are oversized for HIC.

very bad. wait to install everything when you get the proper fork, headset, clamp, and bars.

Make sure your fork is compressed as much as you can get it (but still allowing the fork to spin), so that the shim can't spin at all. And you have to tighten the clamp on your bars a shitload. On some clamps you have to tighten them as far as they can go. A lot of people I know with the lucky HIC clamp have to tighten theirs until it can't get any tighter.

If you're using a small allen wrench, take some tubing, or anything that can fit over the wrench, to get some torque, and step on it to tighten it more.
