um i think im fukd i was at the sk8park tighting it up and it kept coming lose so i put glue in there it worked for a bit then it fukd up so i went to take off my hic shim and my starnut has stripped please help

If your starnut is stripped, then you need to hammer it down the fork, then put another one in.

Also, don't put glue on or near your headset. It doesn't help anything.

Yes, it works perfectly fine. The reason it got locked is because, like he said, there has been sooooooooooooooo many threads on this, and APEX scooters has this.

^^^You need a shim, which usually comes with HIC bars.

Edit: Does anyone have a solution for keeping your bars straight with your fork with HIC? I've tightened my bolts as much as they can go (any more, and they would strip and I'd have to cut them out) and the fork still works its way crooked after a little bit.

bump, i'm having this problem too. Friggin annoying, i've tried taping it, making pop can shims, everything. Is there some kind of trick to doing it? I'm getting super rattled with it right now.

idk how to cure the bars getting not straight. I figured it was just because I'm using a stretch pro clamp at the moment that I can't tighten anymore other wise the bolts will strip and I'll have to cut it off.

nah im using an HIC clamp and it doesnt work. I even had a dissy clamp before and that didnt work either!

nah its not the clamp I literally just got a new one and its great. For some reason I didnt have the problem today, maybe i just wasnt cranking it tight enough

im not trying to be a dick at all lol. that was really sick, and im glad he is ok, im just saying it wouldnt have happened with an scs.

that's why scs is better than hic.

Same thing would've happened with SCS. Right above the quad clamp it would've snapped.

I blame the bars for that one, not the compression system.

lol i doubt that would have happened with scs. the deck would have probably snapped before the bars.
