i guess im one of very few kids without access to a saw. i had 2, but my stepdad let our neighbor borrow it and he took it when he moved away. my other one broke.

and no, i dont need a "how to saw your bars" tutorial.
I hope i don't have to repeat myself for the 3rd time.

Saws are cheap. Period.

I beleive you should be happy there are 4 height options for SCS already, otherwise all bars would come in ~36" lenghts but that's just a huge waste of material and more expensive for everybody.

so if u order the 1-1/4" option is that just the 1-3/8" clamp with a shim or a clamp with 1-1/4" diameter?
If you order the 1-1/4" option, then you are getting a 1-3/8" clamp WITH a stepdown shim (for 1-1/4" bars).

wait, i got retro bars like a few days ago and they didnt have the standard compressions system options. i will be buying a standard compression system to use with these bars though. what do i do now? the bar dimensions i ordered with are 21x15. can you make them custom to the scs compression please?
If you received retro bars with the slit at the bottom, AND you want to buy the SCS, then you will have to just cut 2 inches off the bottom of your bars in order to maintain the height you were at with your bars, and your bars will come usable/compatible with the SCS.
so all i gotta do is cutt 2 in off of it? and what if they dont have that slit?

haha Wtf is everyone strugglin' over?

Its fnckin simple!

SCS raises ur bars 2 inches. You can't have slots on your bars with the SCS.

That is all. Thre rest is common sence.

compression system, simplest form- is used for threadless headsets to tighten the headset/keep it tight, and keep the bars from flying off.

Keep hoping, Cory. People were freaking out when the inverted compression system came out. Maybe that's why people ride scooters, they're too stupid to understand how to work a bike.

but then the scs raises the bar height by an extra 2 inches which means you have to but them down so why not just buy 18"s?
