SR Threadless Forks

Here's the deal. You put the star nut in the bars, then put the bars down over your forks (like usual) then you put the bolt up through the bars, and tighten it down. When you tighten the bolt, it pulls the bars down onto the headset, therefore tightening it, pretty much like on a bike.

I pretty much get it, i just think the easiest way to get things is visually. So when i get my stuff in the mail I'll have it sitting in front of me and what your saying now will make the most sense. Which is why a few posts up i said that I bet this place will be flooded with questions once they get delivered to people haha.

hmmm i understand alex. thanks. however, just to try it out, i went outside and put the star nut that came with my FSA pig into my bars, and the star nut is way too small.

Wow, what a discovery, Farmboy!

lol, jk, obviously it is a diffirent sized. Earlier today i checked my starnut that came along with my sealed fsa, and i think it's pretty perfect. If i would give it to Juku, then i could order Juku a oversized starnut so he could use it later on some oversized bars when he will actually buy them, but untill then he'll use his razor bars. And the starnut, it's just a little bigger than the inner diameter of the razor steertube's spot where it's more narrow than the place where goes the forktube in, so it's perfect.

hey it seems that the fork extention will hit the deck ???
Andrew has said somewhere before, that you will probably have to unscrew and remove that plate in front of the folding mechanism which attaches the foldy rails if you are riding a Razor pro-model.

I guess without a compression system you'd just have to push your bars down to compress the headset, which wouldn't work too well. But yeah it'll work with your you FSA.

yea it really wouldnt work, to get it right you would have to have someone hanging on your bars while someone else tightened and then you probably would still get it out of line
