The dream has come true! - Heavy Metal Scooter 4

thats really sweet. props dude! the REAL question is, how does it ride?

Today I rode park for a while, had some trouble with barspin airs because of 4" wider bar and not riding for 3 months. Ive had some problems with the back deck plate screws loosening and falling off because I didn't put any washers (already fixed) and with bearings falling out off my stupid wheels. They only fall out if I land something sketchy (today it was a 360 over the spine). I think I need to make some new ones, but now Im trying to fix these. The previous way of solving the problem with duck tape didn't turn out well but hey, what is the only thing better than a duct tape when it comes to fixing something quick? A double sided duct tape! So yeah, maybe now they will hold up better.

The riding felt good, I liked that headtube angle. Now I think I will finally be able to do 360 whips consistently (for some reason I couldn't do them for shit unless I was riding a newly bolted scooter with the headtube being angled more like what I have now). I think I also can fakie better than before, that might be because of the 18" bars.

pete whats wrong with your wheels did they ovalize? because you said they fell out?

His wheels don't have the lips in the wheel which will hold the bearings.

You'll see lips when you look into a micro-metalcore, YAK, pro-model wheels or any other factory-maid wheels, but his wheels just have a flat hole so the bearings can go right through the wheel.

The fork - omg not ugly!

The handlebars and stem - Caution! this is NOT a Buff Bar ripoff! The concept is whole different, the stem is clamped onto the forktube which is almost 24" long. The whole thing pretty much resembles the BMX concept, as the compression tube acts like a compression ring - only a bit longer, haha. It even uses a typical bike compression system (the top cap is inside the stem, right below the center of the handlebar).

The brake - the only stock part on this scoot... When I figure out where to get (or how to make) brake springs, this will be replaced instantly.

... so yeah.
dude i want the fork that looks unbreakable it looks abit stronger than sr forks and looks abit lighter madd congrats on making it

it does, except for the fact that the fork tube goes to the top of the handlebars....

and i don't like the headtube, its a bit too long where it attaches to the deck imo

If you mean the space at the front of the deck which is occupied, there's only like 1 inch difference between this and the Razor folding mech. But who puts his feet on the front part of the deck anyways?

Also everyone who thinks that this is ugly: please be more specific. Unless something is a really important construction feature, it can be changed, even though the look is the least important thing for me when I design a scooter. So what is it that you all don't like?

I have to paint it anyway so it won't rust. Im lazy though, so I don't know when will this happen, prolly on some rainy day.

Fixed the bearing issue today by making the lip/ridge that's missing by hammering a piece of an old Razor handle bar into the hole. I had to hit it really hard and make some outrageous contraptions to get it inside. It's good now but if this also fails after some time Id just glue it there.

I also did some revision of basic street and flatground tricks, still had some trouble with barspins and I guess I'll have to forget about doubles on flat for a while, haha. Fakies are smoother than ever though.

Edit: Riding around on a completely solid scooter feels like shit though. This is Poland- the land of 593 holes per square meter of pavement...
