Are canon EOS 550d worth the moneys? For filming that is. I don't like vid cams to much.

defiantly worth the money if your willing to spend haha it does have crappy audio but my never overheated but it wont be worth it unless your willing to spend 900-1000 dollars

And that's with buying things on eBay, while probably only getting a fisheye and maybe one other lens. Two, if you're lucky.

Look down on the page, the Netjiot. Not enough to justify it's own thread. A thread for random questions and such, like what you just asked.

Ben, if you have a local computer store, go price out what it would be to get a firewire card installed if you buy a card there, and if you include your own card for them to install. Don't go to Best Buy or anything, they charge too much. Geek Squad sucks.

I personally installed mine myself, it's easy but you have to be at lest semi-good with computers and willing to take yours apart on your own. You can buy firewire cards on ebay for pretty cheap, I think mine was like $12 or $15 and it has three ports on it.

okay thanks man, i get it all now. i think haha

What are you looking for?
DSLR wise, Canon 7Ds are great in lowlight
everything else wise, Canon XA10s, Canon HV30s have decent lowlight, Sony VX2000s rock lowlight but are expensive. GS500s are also good. Yeah.

Your best option would be to provide artificial light, because most cameras are gonna get pretty grainy. I had an HV30, and it wasn't THAT good in lowlight but it was above average that's for sure.
