T1is are not 1080p.

Go on ebay and get a brand new T2i body for $520 then get the 50mm f/1.8 for around 80-100. It'd be the same as buying a new T2i w/ Kit lens from anywhere else.

Or if you're really tight on money, look into the Panasonic Gh1. You can find them used on ebay for 200-400 and they put out way nicer footage than T2is.

My bad haha. I do not know a ton of specifics about DSLRs.

The ez30 is not as good of quality as your handycam. It is SD and uses tapes, so you will need a different camera to capture footage on, and it will be nothing like your handycam, you don't just plug it in a click import. It is also going to have to be set up manually, which I don't think you know how to do. And it is from the early 1990's. It is older than a VX1k and will probably break really easily. It is just like the cheapest 3ccd camera panasonic ever made and you can tell by the way it preforms.

ok thanks

Lolwut.

The Gh1 is an M4/3 camera, similar to a DSLR. It has an m4/3/MFT mount. You buy lenses separate, like the T2i.

T3i lol. Nikons are trash for filming.

GL1s imo aren't that bad but most people hate them. Hep Greg filmed pretty much all of his videos with one.

ok i like HD cause i dont got to deal with the tapes. SO im thinking about a T2i with just a fisheye? that seems like a good cam to film with. i just want something that looks really good on youtube, so high quality.

You're better off with a regular video camera than a DSLR if all you plan on filming is riding. I'd recommend a Sanyo Fh1a, Panasonic SD9, or basically any Canon Vixia-series video camera.

HD has nothing to do with not using tapes.

Should i get a canon Vixia m 41 with the skaters package and a 50 doller tripod and a case that includes a extra battery and alot of other stuff for 1000 bucks? or a t2i with fisheye handle and tripod for 1000 bucks? i hear the canon is way eaiser to use and all i want is somthing that produces super good QUALITY VIDEO so i was thinking the Canon cause it produces almost as nice of quality as the t2i? and cause t2i over heat (i heard). Thoughts?
